Maybelline Instant Age Rewind

Image
Looking for a good drugstore concealer? Well look no further. As usual, Maybelline has your back! I honestly have yet to actually find a Maybelline product I DON'T like. This is the best drugstore brand out there in my opinion.  Unlike my usual posts, this one will be short, sweet, and to the point since the proof is in the pictures! The top picture is my natural face without any product. I know, it's terrible. The middle one I washed my face with African Black Soap and applied the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer to my eyelids and under eyes. Picture was taken immediately after application.  Side note: I did not prime before applying. The third picture is after allowing the concealer to settle for 10 minutes or so.  Now, it's not as smooth as it could be because I didn't prime but you can clearly see a difference AT LEAST with color. For just $8 at Walmart, you too can erase those irritating dark circles! If you haven't tried it,

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation

Searching for a good moderate-coverage drug store foundation? Look no further! Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation has got you covered.  Poreless and matte, they have one for every skin tone, type, and texture!   I have it in the color 112 Natural Ivory because at the time of purchase I was "glow in the dark" white. I'm only slightly darker now, but in pictures using flash you can tell a BIG difference. So make sure when purchasing you take that "summer tan" into consideration. So anyways, below is a picture of me without makeup. I know, it's terrifying. From the Lazy eye all the way to my eyebrows (or lack there of). But i feel that it's necessary so you can see what I'm covering up.  "Does it work?" As you can see, I have very large pores, oily skin, and acne. I also have a very uneven skin tone and bags under my eyes. Below is a few pictures of me with the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation on. As you ca

Eyemei Loose Glitter/Pigment

Image
Are you a "beauty on a budget" kind of girl but you're not sure about Eyemei? Don't worry, Shawna to the rescue! Okay...So I've had these for YEARS but I've just recently got into makeup enough to try them. I had a whole bunch of them, but I used a bunch on Christmas crafts....And trust me when i tell you I HATE myself for wasting this powdered gold! Upon FINALLY opening these beauties, I noticed how vibrant and pigmented they are. Not to mention that shine brighter than my future! I mean, just look at them! So Since everybody is doing swatches these days, I decided to give it a try. They were slightly clumpy with the primer, but they glide on with ease. I was very impressed with the pigmentation and shine in nearly every color! They're bold and DEFINITELY beautiful. Please note these swatches were done with primer. Primer is almost always a necessity when it comes to loose powder/glitter. After swatches I decided to

Tree Huts Exfoliating Mud Mask

Image
I received this product free compliments of Influenster for testing purposes A little about this product for those of you that are unfamiliar. "Tree Huts Exfoliating Mud Mask is the ultimate facial in a jar. Formulated with exfoliating black sand to prep, while natural clays and charcoal detoxify your skin." Also $14.99 for a 2.9oz jar So now that we're all familiar with what this product is supposed to do, allow me to explain my first experience. The first thing i noticed upon opening the jar was the subtle, almost flowery, kind of "natural" scent. It was definitely pleasant and relaxing! Now, we get to the fun part....application! So the first thing i noticed was how cold it was. Seriously. It was like an ice pack on my face! But, I'm okay with that. In this Florida heat anything cold is welcome!  Then i noticed the "black sand" in the mix. It was a little rough, like "prickly" i guess. But that

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Lipstick color: Lover

Image
I received this product free compliments of Influenster for testing purposes. So i have the color "Lover". Its a really beautiful pinkish plum or mulberry color.  The first thing i noticed besides the color is the awkwardly shaped applicator. I mean, i think a pointy tip would have sufficed. I'm not really sure why the hole in the middle is necessary. It just makes it harder to apply in thin layers. But whatever, not that big of a deal. I applied this lippie to take this picture to show off. I had no intentions of keeping it on. It was a little thick and heavy, but it was definitely matte. The pigmentation was great and it was VERY true to color. But is it REALLY long lasting? THAT'S the million dollar question! Now before i get to this next part, i need everyone to keep in mind this stuff is SUPPOSED to last "up to" 16 hours and its kiss proof/smear proof etc. I also want to mention that this is 100% my fault and I am
